FTH and authority (1)

The authority of Jesus Christ comes from His anointing which was promised to Abraham and his seed as BLESSING. All believers can exercise this authority in the fullness of time as they mature. As we exercise this authority, we will do the things Jesus Christ did in his earthly ministry because that same anointing is upon us. This is the most profound teaching since the concept of justification by faith given to us by Martin Luther in 1517.

Melchizedek blessed Abraham thus re-establishing THE BLESSING that not only made Abraham rich, but became the earthly source of heavenly power for all believers and worshipers of the one true God. God gave to mankind THE BLESSING—complete authority over the works of His hands.

Genesis 14:19-20 New International Version (NIV)

19 and he blessed Abram, saying,

“Blessed be Abram by God Most High,
Creator of heaven and earth.
20 And praise be to God Most High,
who delivered your enemies into your hand.”
Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

THE BLESSING given to Abraham passed to Jesus Christ by virtue of God’s promise. The LORD said that in Isaac, Abraham’s seed would be blessed (Hebrews 11:17-19).

Hebrews 11:17-19 King James Version (KJV)

17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,

18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:

19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.

When we are born again, that BLESSING is given to us by virtue of us being in Christ.

Galatians 3:14 New International Version (NIV)

14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

Operating in THE BLESSING is an exercise in faith and becomes the primary modality for every believer.

Proverbs 10:22 King James Version (KJV)

22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

The promise God made to Abraham is sure.

God Almighty Himself, swore to a man—swore in the blood of a ram that God provided (Genesis 22:16-18).

Genesis 22:16-18 King James Version (KJV)

16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Jesus brought His own blood into the presence of God, and offered it as a sacrifice for the sin of all mankind (Hebrews 9:12-14).

Hebrews 9:12-14 King James Version (KJV)

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God
